Opaque with purple rim. Rich, dark berry nose with loads of spice and fine oak. Enormous mouth feel loaded with
rich berry fruit and slow, soft, almost syrupy flow across the palate. Full, ripe fruit flavours are deposited all the way.
Big wine yet beautifully balanced. Long, aromatic finish. Very attractive now but lots of potential still to develop.
Classical varietal aromas of leather, tobacco roll, prunes, cloves, black pepper and game meat, all rounded off by a subtle hint of dark chocolate. The palate is medium bodied, with well integrated tannins and complementary oak nuances. The flavours follow through nicely from the nose, with notes of spice, purple fruits and raspberries. The wine has a juicy fruit core with a satisfying, dry finish.
Ridgeback Shiraz has intense, upfront notes of dark cherry, cracked black pepper, liquorice and a hint of tobacco leaf are cradled by oak spice and suede tannins on the long savoury finish.
Inky ruby and opaque almost black in the center. Youthful and bright with a purple rim. Just a little closed but with hidden power and showing blackcurrant and blackberry fruit and a hint of white pepper and spice. Velvety spiced plum and berry fruit balance perfectly with the oak and ripe dry tannins. Excellent balance and structure with a long savory finish.
This vibrant Shiraz shows upfront plum and blackcurrant aromas with notes of violets, cloves and dried herbs. The palate is juicy and dimensional with a well-integrated tannin structure and an elegant, lingering finish.
