The Groenlandberg Pinot Noir is sourced from a selection of south-facing vineyards situated between 430m and 470m above sea level. There is minimal intervention in the cellar. Whole-bunch fermentations, gentle punch downs and a careful approach to oak maturation, create a delicate Pinot that expresses wonderful fruit and a strong sense of place.
Seamless. Seamlessness is the perfect description of the development of the prominent but pleasant tannins, which caresses the palate, builds through the mid palate and gently tapers off through the long and fruit filled aftertaste. Flavours of dark berries, plums and cedar wood accompanies the fruity tannins all the way through its development.
Silky smooth tannins round off flavours of blackberry jam and beautifully ripe plum. This wine is full bodied yet elegant and can be indulged in right now, but will benefit from 10-15 years of aging.
