What states do you ship to?
We ship to most states across the United States. Due to state-by-state alcohol shipping regulations, delivery availability may vary. Shipping rates range from $20-$35 depending on your state. Florida customers can also opt for local pickup.
How is wine shipped to ensure quality?
All orders are shipped with climate-controlled packaging to maintain optimal storage temperatures during transit. This ensures your wines and spirits arrive in the same condition they left our facility, regardless of weather conditions.
Do I need to be 21 to order?
Yes, you must be 21 years of age or older to purchase alcoholic beverages. An adult (21+) must be present to sign for the delivery. The carrier will not leave packages unattended.
What is shipping insurance?
We offer optional shipping insurance for $15 at checkout. This covers your order against loss or damage during transit. If shipping insurance is not purchased, South African Wine USA is not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs after the order is handed to the shipping carrier.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Credit/Debit Cards via Clover (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Zelle, and Venmo. For Zelle and Venmo payments, your order is placed on hold until payment is confirmed.
How long does delivery take?
Standard shipping takes 5-10 business days. Florida delivery is typically 3-5 business days. Orders are processed within 1-2 business days. You will receive tracking information via email once your order ships.
Can I return or get a refund?
Refunds are available for orders that have not been shipped. Once dispatched, we cannot process a refund. Damaged products may be eligible for a refund or replacement if reported within 48 hours of delivery with photos. Contact info@southafricanwineusa.net with your order number.
What South African wines do you carry?
We carry over 100 South African wines including Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot, and more. Our producers include KWV, Fleur du Cap, Allesverloren, Niel Joubert, Oak Valley, Ridgeback, Meerlust, Rust-en-Vrede, and many others from regions like Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl, and the Western Cape.
Do you sell South African brandy?
Yes! We have an extensive brandy selection including KWV 3, 5, 10, 15, and 20 Year Old Brandy, Richelieu, Klipdrift Premium and Export, Olof Bergh, Buffelsfontein, Viceroy, and craft brandies like Blaauwklippen 10yr Potstill and Louis 57.
What is Pinotage?
Pinotage is South Africa's signature red grape variety, created in 1925 by crossing Pinot Noir and Cinsault. It produces full-bodied wines with flavors of dark berries, plum, and sometimes smoky or coffee notes. We carry Pinotage from producers like KWV, Fleur du Cap, Niel Joubert, De Grendel, and more.
Do you sell South African beer?
Yes, we carry popular South African beers including Castle Lager, Black Label, Windhoek Lager and Draught, Hansa Pilsener, and Buffelsfontein Lager. All sold by the case (24 beers).
Do you sell South African cider?
Absolutely! We stock Savanna Dry, Savanna Light, Savanna Angry Lemon, Hunters Dry, Hunters Gold, Hunters Extreme, Hunters Hard Lemon, and Bernini Blush. All available by the case (24 ciders).
Where are your products sourced from?
The majority of our products come directly from South Africa's top wine regions including Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl, Robertson, Elgin, and the Western Cape. We also carry select products from France, Mexico, Namibia, and other countries.
Do you offer gift options?
Yes, we offer gift vouchers and personalized cards ($1.50) that can be added at checkout. Leave your message in the order notes and we'll include a handwritten card with your gift.
